Moldflow Design Link(MDL) 能夠用於直接地輸入CAD幾何學模型於Moldflow Plastics

Moldflow Design Link
Moldflow Design LinkT (MDLT) provides faster and easier access to CAD data by
allowing users to import leading solid geometry formats directly into
Moldflow Plastics Advisers (MPA), Moldflow Plastics Insight (MPI), and
Moldflow Magics STL ExpertT software.
This gives users the flexibility to accept CAD data from almost any source,
and it also provides the added benefit of using native CAD data from all
Parasolid-based CAD systems, Pro/ENGINEER, CATIA V5 and SolidWorks.
MDL is commercially available in three versions:
* MDL/Parasolid - for the import of Parasolid, SolidWorks, IGES, and STEP
models
* MDL/Pro/ENGINEER - for the import of Pro/ENGINEER part, IGES, and STEP
models
* MDL/CATIA V5 - for the import of CATIA V5 part models
Capabilities
When MDL is used with Moldflow Magics STL Expert software, the CAD solid
model is converted to a STL model format which can then be fixed and
optimized for use in a MPA or MPI analysis
When MDL is used with MPA software, the CAD solid model is automatically
converted to the MPA model format
When MDL is used with MPI software, the CAD solid model can be
automatically converted to the MPI mesh format, or the surfaces can be
imported and subsequently meshed using MPI/Synergy's advanced meshing
capabilities
* Imported geometry is represented in MPI/Synergy as trimmed NURBS surfaces
* These surfaces can be independently viewed, grouped, or meshed
* NURBS surfaces are supported by the IGES, STEP, Parasolid, Pro/ENGINEER,
CATIA V5, and SolidWorks file formats
Supported Model Formats
Parasolid file support - native Parasolid models created in any
Parasolid-compatible CAD system, including Unigraphics, Solid Edge, IronCAD,
and TopCad and saved in Parasolid versions up to and including version 16.0
Pro/ENGINEER file support - native Pro/ENGINEER part files created in
versions up to and including Wildfire 2.0
CATIA V5 file support - native CATIA V5 part files created in versions up to
and including V5R13 (Release 13)
SolidWorks file support - native SolidWorks part models created in versions
2004 and 2005
STEP file support - STEP AP203 and STEP AP214 Class II, Class III, Class IV,
Class V entities and Class VI entities and assemblies
IGES file support - closed volume IGES files with an extended list of
supported entities
