Rockferry is the debut album due to be released by Welsh singer Duffy on 3 March 2008. Prior to releasing the album,
Duffy appeared twice on Jools Holland's music show, performing the tracks Mercy, Warwick Avenue and her version of The First Cut Is The Deepest.
Rockferry, according to Duffy [Uncut Magazine 2008], is loosely based on an area that lies in between Liverpool and Chester
and close to the Welsh border. Rock Ferry is situated south of Birkenhead (approximately 10 miles from the Welsh border
and 3 miles from Liverpool).
According to the artist in an interview on BBC Two's Later With Jools Holland, the fourth track, Stepping Stone,
is an homage to late 90's pop duo PJ & Duncan, who wrote and released the song on 18 March 1996
